Why You Should Have Bone Broth Daily

Bone broth daily, if made from healthy, pastured (or at least free-range) chickens or grass-fed beef bones has many benefits. I am listing some of them below.

We all eat too much processed food, and some forms of processing are not necessary all bad.

Bone broth is good for joint health

Bone broth contains lots of collagen, the protein that makes up bones, tendons, ligaments, skin and other flexible tissues.

Bone broth contains other proteins and amino acids like gelatin, proline and glycine

Contains lots of Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), including glucosamine, that are commonly taken as supplements to reduce joint pain and inflammation

Bone broth improves digestion

Both glycine and glutamine –  amino acids found in large quantities in bone broth – help maintain the integrity of the intestinal wall, preventing and repairing leaky gut and helping to prevent food allergies…

The collagen found in bone broth helps improve digestion by ensuring that the stomach lining stays healthy.

Bone broth helps your skin

As all other tissue contain collagen, so does skin. Skin loses elasticity and hair becomes brittle when nutrient deficient. One of the single best ways to restore luster to skin and hair is to consume collagen and collagen-forming amino-acids and minerals. Consuming collagen-and nutrient-rich bone broth can increase connective tissue elasticity, reduce cellulite and tighten your skin as well as prevent skin allergies.

Nourishment and detoxification

The glycine found in bone broth supports the liver in one of its primary duties: to collect, compound, and orchestrate removal from the body. Glycine also helps the body to reduce oxidative stress by producing antioxidants.

Bone broth contains minerals like magnesium, potassium and calcium as well as trace minerals from bone breakdown.

Bone broth contains good fats

If you leave the skin on a pastured chicken or use fatty marrow bones from beef, do not skim off the fat in the bone broth. Fat from these animals has a beneficial profile of omega-6, omega-3 and other fatty acids. The healthy fats contained in the broth is good for your cells (all membranes consist of fat and cholesterol), your organs and especially your brain!
