Another reason to eat a healthy, Anti-inflammatory diet:

A new study showed an increased risk for dementia (Alzheimer’s dementia as well as vascular dementia) in people hospitalized for any autoimmune disease. This is concerning for people with Thyroid disorders like Hashimoto’s, Myxedema,  Addison’s Disease, MS, Psoriasis. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and other inflammatory conditions.

Now, this does not come as a surprise for those involved with aspects other than conventional medicine only (like myself :). It is known that inflammation in your body leads to so-called Neuro-Inflammation or inflammation in the brain.

What causes this inflammation?

Conventional medicine calls it genetics or “we don’t know”. When you consider a broader view, you get to the result that we have a big influence on our body composition by what we put in our bodies, on our bodies and in our mind!

What can you do to reduce inflammation:

Eat an anti-inflammatory diet, mostly plant-based, good fats (read more here), avoid environmental toxins as much as possible by choosing as much organic and local foods as possible and cutting out junk food and packaged foods
